USAGE AREA

It is a biodegradable property used to remove hydrocarbon deposits in cargo tanks. It is also used in tank and warehouse cleaning of veggies, animal oil and cargo pollutants. It is suitable for use on all kinds of metal surfaces (aluminum, zinc silicate coated tanks) and does not show corrosive effect.

USAGE METHOD

The use of UNITEDCHEM-HCF for hydrocarbon removal and tank cleaning operations varies. The dilution rate varies depending on the contamination rate of the surface to be cleaned. Pre-wash with hot water at 50°C should be done before cleaning to remove hydrocarbons. Pre-wash with hot water should not be done in the cleaning of solid or semi-solid oils (prewash with cold water to avoid saponification reaction). It is also advisable to start cleaning as soon as possible after discharging the load. Tanks should be dried before using UNITEDCHEM-HCF.

1 – SPRAYING METHOD (HYDROCARBON REMOVAL)

After pre-washing, a 10% solution of UNITEDCHEM-HCF is prepared and sprayed on tank surfaces and UNITEDCHEM-HCF is expected to act for 45 minutes. The reaction is rinsed with warm distilled water and the existing hydrocarbon is removed. Distilled water should be used to avoid clogging in the tank washing test results.

2 – CIRCULATION METHOD (VEGETABLE, ANIMAL AND MINERAL OIL CLEANING)

A 5% UNITEDCHEM-HCF solution is prepared in the tank closest to the automatic pump chamber. While the solution is being prepared, sufficient amount of solution for the operation of the automatic flushing pump and pipelines between the tanks must be added to the account. If the solution is heated to 50°C, the result will be faster. Prepare the solution for 2-4 hours in the tanks. Depending on the amount of pollution in the tank, the solution can be cleaned in maximum 3 tanks with the prepared solution. A new solution should be prepared for other tanks. After cleaning, rinse with hot water at 40-60°C in the tanks.

3 – INJECTION METHOD

Chemical solution prepared with 5% ratio, is transferred into Butterworths inside the tank through injection method. Water temperature should be 20-50°C. Washing operation should be continued for 2-3 hours and after cleaning, rinsing operation should be carried out with fresh water.
